With over two decades of mortgage lending and insurance experience, Karen Rekstein offers a unique blend of knowledge and expertise in her role as a real estate agent. Karen understands that buying and selling real estate is a very personal and exciting time for her clients. She believes in serving her clients to the best of her ability and educating them throughout the process so that her clients can make the best decisions possible. Meeting new people and helping clients find the right house to call home is her passion. Karen is very active in her community and has served in leadership roles in the Mankato Downtown Kiwanis Club, volunteers for the United Way, Coach for YWCA Girls on the Run Program, member of Circle of Hope for the Reach which serves homeless teens, and Chairperson for the MN DAK Reading program which gifts books to young readers. She enjoys spending time with outdoor activities such as boating, gardening, and hiking. Karen has a BA from Buena Vista University and a Master’s in Education Administration from Iowa State University. She was a mortgage loan officer for a large national bank for a number of years and eventually changed her career path to serve children by becoming an educator. Karen and her husband Tom own Great River Insurance in Mankato.
